FLOW-SWITCH SILENT 1/2"
The flow switch (also called flow sensor or detector) in your boiler is a key part that detects when you turn on a hot water tap at home. Its main function is to tell the boiler that you need domestic hot water right now. By detecting the flow of water, it signals the boiler to fire up and heat the water just when you use it.
Basically, it's the "tell-tale" that lets your boiler know when to heat water to the perfect temperature for your shower or any other use. If it fails, goodbye instant hot water!
Is your boiler not heating water when you turn on the tap? It could be the flow switch. Find the replacement part you need in our store.
The main symptom of a defective boiler flow switch is that you have no hot water, or that the hot water only comes out sometimes (intermittently). This happens because the flow switch doesn't detect that you are opening the hot water tap and, therefore, the boiler doesn't start to heat it. It's as if the boiler doesn't realize you need water. In some cases, the boiler may even show an error code related to the flow or lack of water detection.
To know if your boiler's flow switch is not working, mainly check the hot water in your house.
The clearest sign is that no hot water comes out when you open the taps (shower, sink, etc.), or that it comes out hot for a moment and then turns cold (intermittent). This happens because the flow sensor is not indicating to the boiler that there is a demand for hot water, and therefore the boiler does not start to heat it. It's as if the boiler doesn't realize you need water.
Sometimes, the boiler may even show a message or error code on its display warning of a "flow" or "low flow" problem. If you see these symptoms or errors, it is very likely that the flow switch is faulty.
